"Seeing myself working as a Journalist was daily brain falls since my childhood", was the dream of Alice Ndunya.

Today we take you through a married woman who thought marriage is a storm over her Future. But that was irony as her husband is responsible and supportive in all her famines.

"I re-seated for my Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) when I was already married with my two year old daughter because I had always believe in myself that I can do better than giving up. Thanks to my husband who was always supportive", she said.

Ndunya got 18 points and luckily was selected to study her dream professional at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) formally POLYTECHNIC.

While waiting for academic calendar to begun, Ndunya became prenatal.

"At first I didn't know that I could be accommodate while pregnant so I went to withdraw for that academic year to put on bed. Auspiciously, the university registrar enlighten that being pregnant is not an excuse. She told me that I could only withdraw if I feel I cannot manage. I thought it wise not to waste time since I felt it within myself that I could do it. So I attended that academic year while pregnant", Ndunya narrated.

In her voice life was hard but to achieve dream, her hardships encouraged Ndunya's passion.

"Life was not easy as I expected, had to travel long distance from my uncle's place to stage in Ndirande and from the stop to school. Yet, I did not want to take my situation as an excuse to miss classes. In other words, the situation made me even stronger as I knew failure in class would mean that all my sacrifices were put to waste", she said.

The hard journey continued until June 2019 when she put to bed while her colleagues were writing mid-semester examinations.

"I had some complications as such I was not able to resume for classes for two weeks. Then I returned to finish the semester and found a nanny for my baby", she added.

Currently, Alice Ndunya has completed bachelor’s degree in journalism. This is what she said as ending marks:

"Do not give up so easily, strive for what you aim for and with God's grace it shall come to pass".
